Oct 4 Town on top in early top of the table clash
A merited win away in Rathnew earlier today sees Arklow Town's U15A side firmly in the driving seat at the top of the Premier Division. Town looked the hungrier side throughout this close encounter between two familiar opponents and took the lead on the half hour mark through the lively Darragh O'Leary. Rathnew levelled in the 70th minute but any hopes of the home side earning at least a point for their comeback were dashed moments later with Town's next attack. The Arklow side forced a corner kick and from the dead ball John Kearon found the head of Ian Reid to head home Town's second goal, and the winner. Kyle Dowling had a superb game for Town and was deservedly named man of the match.
Sep 27 Town roll on with another win
Greystones United A were the visitors to Bridgewater Centre Park today as both sides returned to league action after last weekend's successes in SFAI Evans Cup competition. The Town side followed up their opening win of the season with a comprehensive 5-0 victory over their opponents, with Darragh O'Leary netting a hat-trick. Alan Sunderland and John Kearon added the other two goals.
Sep 20 Town advance in Evans Cup, easing past Newbridge
Arklow Town's early season momentum was maintained in fine style earlier today with a convincing 6-1 win on the road at Newbridge Town in the opening round of the SFAI Evans Cup. Alan Sunderland and Darragh O'Leary carved open the home side, with Sunderland bagging a hat-trick and O'Leary a brace. Liam Carroll added a sixth for Town in what was a fine team effort. Ciaran Byrne, Ian Reid and John Kearon all earned the plaudits as Town advanced to the next round.
Sep 13 Hardy hat-trick sets Town on way
Arklow Town's U15 side have hit the ground running this new season and for the second game running put six past their opponents, today's opponents being Carnew. The performance and win in the recent held over from last season U14 Premier Shield Final has set the lads up in good stead and another disciplined performance today reaped a worthy reward. Mark Hardy netted three times, reward for his industry and creation throughout, with Alan Sunderland also on the scoresheet. Ryan Forde made the most of his opportunity with a lovely finish and Liam Carroll capped a fine performance with an individual effort. Having reached the last eight at national level last season, in the SFAI Goodson Cup, the team are focused on this year's campaign, which begins with a trip to Newbridge Town next weekend.
